HAUTE BABE OF THE MONTH FEBRUARY 2020: CHAYLA LEE

One of the worst parts about owning an online store is that you only meet your customers on paper. For the most part, the customers order online and you never hear back from them again (until they make another order, YASSSS!). Whenever I see the sales orders, I ask myself, “Who is this babe? Her style seems awesome, but what is she planning to do with her new outfit?” Is she going out to girl’s night? Does she have a hot date? Is this a “revenge on her ex-boyfriend” outfit? Is she a student? What kind of job does she have?

You get the idea.

This is how I got the idea to create the Haute Babe Of The Month program. All of our customers are special, and I believe that they all have their personal story to tell. Because of this, we feature a customer each month This month’s haute babe is Chayla Lee!  Chayla is a babe from Tennessee that we cyber met through Poshmark. If you didn't know already, Haute2Wear started on Poshmark! After following each other through Instagram, we realized that aside from being an awesome human being, she had KILLER style. What is your ideal job and why?

Dermatology. I've always wanted to do something that helps make people feel more confident in their own skin. I've been able to achieve that with my photography business, but not everyone feels comfortable in front of a camera. A lot of people's self-esteem problems are connected with their skin and they feel that having zits on their faces lessens their attractiveness. I hope to show people that acne is normal and everyone has skin issues.

What are 3 life goals?

1. To travel the world

2. To have one of my photographs featured in a popular magazine

3. To reach my health and fitness goals.

Who is your role model?  My grandmother

If you could change anything in the fashion industry, what would it be? 

To be more size inclusive . A lot of clothing brands claim they are size inclusive ,but they market towards one body type. For example, most plus size brands use a specific plus size body shape. The models will be plus-size but have more of a curvy shape and not all plus-sized women are shaped that way. Also, some women have a curvy body shape but are not plus size. Everyone is different and unique and I hope one day the fashion industry will further embrace that.

What impact would you like to make in the world?  To help everyone feel more confident with themselves.

This is my favorite quote because it is a great reminder to stay positive and optimistic. When someone has negative thoughts, they lead to negative circumstances. Simply changing one's thoughts to something positive in a bad or neagative situation can help change the outcome. Our minds are powerful things and we can choose what we allow to effect our emotions.
